Company History
Throughout his 12-year of experience in financial services, Spider’s founder Mohamad El-Bawab experienced firsthand the frustrating difficulties of using Excel for analyzing time series models.
In most cases, analysts were forced to use external heavy-duty specialized software for time series models, which requires programming knowledge and does not keep the analysis and results linked over time.
Thus, the NumXL concept was born: a sophisticated, yet simple and affordable add-in that users can plug into Excel and apply to his tasks right away, no programming required. Best of all, NumXL is backed by superb support in all forms: documentation, tutorials, and an in-house staff who are literally a phone call/email away.

Management
Mohamad, a University of Chicago MBA graduate and a technology and financial engineering veteran, recognized the opportunity and dedicated his efforts to start our small Chicago-based company. Our core mission is to enhance Microsoft Excel's analytical capabilities with sophisticated econometric functions that cater to the needs of finance professionals and business academics around the world.
Mohamad continues to develop NumXL and heads the company today. At work, he emphasizes the importance of listening and pursuing personal relationships with our clients.
